Description

Birthways Inc. offers labor support doula and postpartum doula services. Their apprentice doulas provide low-cost options for families open to working with a doula that has received her basic training and is well-supported but has experienced fewer births than mid-level or senior level doulas.

The Birthways Inc. Labor Support Package includes:

-An intake with a childbirth expert and free in-home interviews to help you choose the best doula for you
-2 or 3 scheduled prenatal visits
-Connection with your doula through phone, email or text
-Labor support
-Immediate postpartum support, including early breastfeeding
-A postpartum home visit
-30 minutes of expert breastfeeding support through Warmline

Postpartum doula services vary based on client need, but may include lactation support, infant care, parent support and education, sibling care, meal preparation, and errands.

Eligibility

-Fees for labor support packages range from $800 to $2000 depending on the doula's level of experience.
-Postpartum doula services are billed by the hour.
-Women who have complex medical needs or require a high level of prenatal education may be dissuaded from choosing an apprentice. However, they can choose to work with an apprentice and enlist the services of a senior doula/educator as needed to reduce cost.
