Adoption Center of Illinois offers free counseling to birth parents who are considering adoption. Counselors can help birth parents consider their options and decide whether adoption is right for them and their child. If the birth parent chooses adoption, they can help create an adoption plan and select the adoptive family. They can even be present at the hospital during the birth if desired. Birth parents can receive counseling for as long as they choose after the adoption is complete. All conversations are kept confidential.
